COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 2, 2019) – The Space Foundation, in partnership with Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI) and Youngstown State University, is hosting a one-day workshop to address the most common challenges companies face in growing their space-based technology businesses. This event is part of a nationwide Space Commerce Program to assist businesses with emerging opportunities in the space-based technology markets.

“The Space Foundation welcomes the opportunity to share the promise and possibilities of one of the most innovative and creative marketplace — space commerce — with the businesses, entrepreneurs,  innovators and students of the Youngstown area,” said Shelli Brunswick, Chief Operating Officer, Space Foundation. “Ohio’s space history is legendary and we look forward to expanding those achievements with even bolder opportunities to come.”

“The Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI) is excited to partner with the Space Foundation on a program that hits so many of our targets: developing technology-based businesses, diversifying the supply chain, and engaging with university students. While this event will be a great one-day event, we hope that this is the start of a long term engagement between the Space Foundation, YBI, and our community,” said Corey Patrick, Director of Marketing & Communications, Youngstown Business Incubator.

The workshop will be held on Nov. 5, 2019, at DeBartolo Stadium Club at Youngstown State University, and will cover such topics as:

• Overview of the space commerce industry
• Positioning your company or product
•
Customer discovery and value proposition
• Scaling and strategy
• Partnering for investment

Advance registration is required. The fee to attend is $35 per person; registration for students is free. Register now at https://www.launchsquid.com/register/2455
