The Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program, in partnership with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation and the Colorado Space Coalition – will hold a half-day event from 9:00-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the History Colorado Center, 1200 Broadway, Denver, focused on the best ways to advance Colorado’s competitiveness in the changing space economy. The Colorado Space Coalition is a Space Foundation corporate member.

Space Foundation Chief Executive Officer Elliot Pulham will introduce Governor John Hickenlooper, who will deliver the keynote address (pictured, left, speaking at last year’s Space Foundation National Space Symposium).

The forum will feature the public release of the Brookings report Launch! Taking Colorado’s Space Economy to the Next Level. The report reflects six months of analysis by the Brookings Institution, in consultation with Colorado stakeholders orchestrated by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and takes a look at Colorado’s space industry and new strategies for advancing it.
