Remembering Donovan Hicks

Written by: developer

Space Foundation Life Director Donovan B. Hicks died in late August. He was a former board member, and retired as president and CEO of Ball Aerospace in Boulder in 1996 after 35 years with the company. A resident of Granby, Colo., he continued to pursue his interests in space and technology after he retired.

"Don was one of the good guys," said Space Foundation CEO Elliot Pulham. "He always had time and a kind word for the Space Foundation, and he graciously donated a model of the Ball QuickBird satellite for our Visitors Center collection. He will be missed."
