MIT Interns Assist with The Space Report 2013

Two students from the MIT Externship Program spent their winter Independent Activity Period between fall and spring semesters as interns at the Space Foundation's Washington, D.C., office. In addition to exposure to government affairs and space policy activities, they assisted with production of the soon-to-be published The Space Report 2013.

The two interns are:

  • Claire Hadfield, a sophomore from London, majoring in political science, with a specific focus in public policy, and a minor in energy studies
  • Kathy Tran, a senior from Massachusetts, majoring in physics, with a minor in astronomy and an interest in learning more about space policy

The office is headed by Brendan Curry, vice president - Washington operations, who said this is the third year his office has worked with MIT interns. He oversees production of the Space Foundation annual publication The Space Report: The Authoritative Guide to Global Space Activity.

The Space Report is the definitive annual overview of the global space industry and serves as a valuable resource for government and business leaders, educators, financial analysts, students and space-related businesses. See more about it here.
