Certification Program Partner Plays Role Cleaning Gulf

Space Foundation Certified Supporting Partner UniRemInc (Universal Remediation Inc.) has been in the news lately for its role in oil cleanup efforts in the Gulf of Mexico. UniRemInc produces a “natural, beeswax-based oil eater,” and demand for its product has exceeded supply. The Pittsburgh-area company makes about 20 tons of the material a month, but wants to expand capacity to 75 to 100 tons per month within three months.
